Family Physician | Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine

Born in Asuncion, Paraguay. Dr Alejandro graduated from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico. He continued his studies specializing in Family Medicine with an emphasis on chronic diseases at the University of Texas. He then completed his residency at Houston Medical Center. Dr Lopez offers comprehensive care, centered on each individual patient , their language and culture. In addition to providing general medical care, he also performs many procedures and health education. He enjoys spending time with his family, plays tennis and outdoors activities.

Pediatrician | Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Rivas studied at the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico from where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Hospital Episcopal San Lucas, Puerto Rico, where she also served as Chief of Medical Residents in her final year. After graduating from Residency in 2014, she moved to Arizona with her family and has been successfully practicing Pediatrics in the Valley ever since. She enjoys spending time with her family playing ball games and doing community work for children in foster care.


A native of Parral, Chihuahua, Duarte graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2017. She initially attended Gateway and South Mountain Community Colleges from where she graduated with a nursing and science specialty as part of the bilingual nurse program in 2006. Her professional experience as a nurse includes 10 years of experience in various medical centers and hospitals in the greater Phoenix area. In 2014, she obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing and completed her master's degree in 2017.

Family Physician | Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine

Originally from Asunción, Paraguay. Dr. Lopez is Mexican at heart. He graduated as a Surgeon from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 2001. He went on to continued his studies specializing in Family Medicine with an emphasis on chronic diseases at the University of Texas. He then completed his residency at Houston Medical Center from 2006-2009. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been serving the Latino community for over 10 years.


Born in Cuba, Gonzalez graduated with honors from the University of Havana, School of Medicine in 2006. He did his postgraduate studies in infectious diseases, radiology, and internal medicine with a concentration in critical care, with participation in several international events related to cardiovascular diseases and biomedical science. In 2015, he graduated from Miami Regional University as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He completed his medical residency in South America and Africa between 2009 and 2012 with excellent results for his patients.


Nubia Lomeli is a family nurse practitioner at American Family Medicine, where she provides primary healthcare to patients of all ages.  She first graduated from Central Arizona College in 2008 where she earned an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing, and then furthered her education at Grand Canyon University completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012.  Nubia has over 13 years of nursing experience; her background includes working at St. Joseph’s hospital Level 1 trauma center as an ICU nurse in Medical, Surgical, and Trauma units. She continue her education at University of Phoenix where she earned her Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016, and then reaching her highest level of clinical nursing practice by obtaining her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University. She has found her passion serving her community and strives to improve health inequities.  Nubia’s motto is “treat everyone like family”.  When she is not serving her community, she loves to travel, enjoy the outdoors, cooks, and spends time with her family.


Born in Texas, Santos-Rojo is a Cuban-Mexican raised in Arizona. She began her medical studies in Texas and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Arizona. Later she completed her master's degree at Touro University in Nevada. She is currently focused on improving her practice in Spanish and offering better service in her language to her patients. She chose a medical career because of her passion for caring for others and because she wanted to follow in the professional footsteps of her mother, who is her inspiration and dreams of one day becoming an excellent doctor like her mother.
